Volunteers from the Fairfield Christmas Tree Festival have put together a cookbook that is sure to be the hostess “it” gift of the season. Festival Favorites is a collection of over 330 tried and true recipes shared by Festival Board members and many friends.
Festival Favorites includes recipes to prepare and serve at holiday gatherings as well as “family favorites” to be made at any time of the year and quick and easy recipes for busy times. Recipes range from appetizers, beverages, and soups/salads to main dishes and sumptuous desserts.
Several recipes from this collection are from local chefs and caterers as well. Readers will not want to miss the Chocolate Truffle recipe from Jean Pierre Rudaz of La Colline Verte or the Crab Cakes from Festivities Catering. There is also the Festival Board’s traditional Christmas Tree Festival Chicken Pasta Salad and recipes from our friends at the Bigelow Tea Company.
Recipes from Festival Favorites range from very simple to more challenging, and each cook is sure to find a recipe that will become a family favorite. This collection was “donated” by many who have worked at the Festival during its 29 years and have generously shared their time and talents to make the Fairfield Christmas Tree Festival a vital, important and successful endeavor each year.
